Avonvale consolidated the positive start to the season with a resounding victory over Cooper Avon in a free flowing match. Avonvale used their backs with tremendous success, scoring all but 2 of their 15 tries, with Gary Abbott and Alex Fereday taking 3 each. On a hot day, Cooper Avon tried to take the game to Avonvale in the forwards, but were soundly rebuffed including a comprehensive period of try line defence by Avonvale towards the end of the first half; the solid work of the Avonvale pack was critical in ensuring a clean sheet for the second successive game. Richard Furnival was kicking on target, successfully converting 14 of the tries.
