Avonvale have a thriving minis section with a number of friendly
matches arranged throughout the season. You can view the fixtures for each
age group by selecting the links on the left. Our aim is to give
youngsters a good grounding in playing Rugby as well as ensuring that they have fun
and
enjoy the game. We also do our best to give everyone an opportunity
to play in our matches.
U7 & U8 age groups play Tag Rugby with 7 aside matches. Tackling is
introduced for the U9s, who play 9 aside matches with uncontested scrums and
line-outs. Contested scrums and line-outs are then introduced at U10 level
We are always looking for new players at all levels of experience, and you
are welcome to come and try a couple sessions before deciding whether you want
to join us. If you are interested then come along to the clubhouse at 10 am
on any Sunday when we are at home, or if you prefer please contact the webmaster
